Strength Training

Strength is about so much more than just lifting weights. Strength is independence, freedom, integrity, self-reliance and at the core of everything that we do at Remedy Kettlebell Club.

Strength training not only strengthens your muscles but also your ligaments and tendons, increases bone density and helps prevent injuries as we improve over time and as we age. Strength training allows us to improve our quality of life by maintaining independence well into our senior years. Muscles are the armor that protects our bones and internal organs. The stronger the armor the more resilient you are to injuries. Muscles also play a huge role in calorie burn; the more muscles you have the more you burn every day, all day, even while sleeping.

Our Certified Underground Strength Coaches have over 20 years of experience training men and women, teens and seniors and can help you achieve your strength and fitness goals at any level. We train with kettlebells, maces, sandbags, tires, and more traditional tools (like dumbbells and barbells) to ensure that you get an effective, balanced workout that will improve your strength and function in a safe and supportive environment.

Our Strength and Conditioning classes are small (usually about 5 people), so you get the benefit of training with a group without getting left behind or lost in the crowd. Training with others is much more effective than training alone because we work together to push each other to be our best. We help hold each other accountable so it is easier to stay on track and stick with your strength and fitness program. Having an experienced Coach by your side helps keep you motivated by setting short, attainable goals and long-term goals.

Personal Training

Fitness can be confusing. There is a lot of information and misinformation in the market: Eat this, not that; Cardio or strength training; Does lifting weights make women bulk up? Take the guess work out of achieving your goals by working with a professional to guide you through the miasma of information and tailor a plan specifically for you and your goals.

All of our Coaches are also Certified Personal Trainers and specialize in working with adults.  We offer one-on-one personal training for those that prefer training alone or want to improve specific techniques. If you are struggling with accountability and staying on track, an appointment with a Personal Trainer may be a great place to start.

Personal training packages allow you to be the center of attention, improve technique and ensure that you are doing movements safely and correctly. You never have to worry about training in a crowded gym at Remedy Kettlebell Club (we have plenty of room and more than enough kettlebells for everyone in every weight from 4 kg to 48 kg) but with personal training it’s just you and the Coach. If you are new to exercise or find that some movements are painful, it is well worth your time to schedule an appointment with one of our Coaches; You can be certain that you are moving in a safe and effective way and taking the time to learn proper exercise technique will improve your results and prevent injuries.

When it comes to fitness, everyone is unique. Your unique body mechanics, experience, goals, fitness level, likes and dislikes can guide your Trainer in creating a plan that is specific to your needs. With a program that is tailored to you and your goals you are much more likely to maintain the habits and achieve results.
