Kettlebell Training

Kettlebells are one of the most effective strength training tools in use today. They are small, relatively inexpensive and can be used to increase total body strength while also improving flexibility and range of motion.

Training with kettlebells creates a ballistic effect, increasing the power generation and energy expenditure associated with each movement. That means that you can burn more calories (up to 20 calories per minute of kettlebell training) and improve muscle strength, endurance, cardiovascular health, and explosiveness all at the same time.

Kettlebell training can help the average adult burn calories like an athlete with movements like the swing, snatch, and jerk. Our certified professional coaches will teach you the proper kettlebell techniques to strengthen your body and prevent injury. We practice both hardstyle kettlebell training and sport kettlebell lifting. We incorporate movements like the Turkish Get Up, windmills, bottoms up press and more to improve strength through time under tension. We also train and compete in sport style kettlebell lifting, which is performing the snatch, jerk, clean and jerk for time with a volume-based ranking system.

Everything with kettlebells increases core strength, an increasingly common area missed in most traditional weightlifting regimens. Training with kettlebells also helps reduce back pain by strengthening your glutes and hamstrings. When performing the kettlebell swing correctly you strengthen the often-neglected posterior chain (traps, lats, spinal erectors, glutes, and hamstrings). Kettlebells also help improve symmetry and balance; by training single bell movements with your non-dominant hand you can help reduce the strength gap between your dominant and non-dominant sides. Put it all together and kettlebells will make you a stronger, more efficient athlete.

If you are a busy parent or have very little time to spare but want to tone your body, lose body fat, increase strength and stability then the kettlebell is the tool for you. Kettlebell training allows you to increase your heart rate (cardio) while working with resistance under a load (strength) for duration (endurance), maximizing your exercise efforts all while taking up very little room in a relatively short amount of time. Sound too good to be true?
